Bandera uses Bluetooth Low Energy — the same short-range signal your headphones use. The flag reaches people within roughly 30 to 100 feet of you, and only while you have it raised.
Women using Glow mode are never visible to anyone until they choose to be — there is no passive discoverability. After entering a new public space, a woman privately reviews who is nearby and decides: signal someone specific, or glow openly to everyone in the space. No one on the venture side knows whether or not they were individually chosen.
No. Bandera has no chat, no inbox, no notifications pulling you back. The product ends where the conversation begins — in person.
Yes. Unlike GPS, Bluetooth works inside bars, cafés, galleries, bookstores, and anywhere else you might want to be seen. The battery cost is negligible.
